Story & Script
Clive Smith is a pioneer in animated entertainment. He began his career in the UK before moving to Canada and co-founding Nelvana in the early 70s. Smith's many credits include the movies, Rock & Rule, The Devil & Daniel Mouse, The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Pippi Longstocking. Numerous television specials and series credits include the animated Beetlejuice, Cosmic Christmas, Star Wars: Ewoks and Droids (Lucasfilm), Inspector Gadget, Family Dog (Spielberg, Tim Burton) Babar and The Adventures of Tintin. Since departing Nelvana, Smith has primarily been an executive producer for other artists. His debut graphic novel, The Rather Unusual Adventures of Ice Cream Girl and Mr. Licorice, marks Smith's return to the creative driver's seat, where he belongs.

Millena Shang is a Toronto-based illustrator and a graduate of Sheridan College. She loves to bring life to characters and stories through her art while exploring her artistic voice. Ice Cream Girl marks her first significant project and she looks forward to creating more great things in the future.

Script
J. Torres is a Filipino-born Canadian comic book writer. He is perhaps best known for his run on DC Comics’ Teen Titans Go, the Forest of Reading Honour Books Planet Hockey and Stealing Home, the Junior Library Guild and TD Summer Reading Club title Bigfoot Boy, and Lola: A Ghost Story, recipient of an Aesop Accolade from the American Folklore Society. He is married, has two sons and currently resides in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario.

Script
Fred Kennedy works as a broadcaster, but released his first comic in 2010. His work has appeared in multiple anthologies, as well as writing comic adaptations for companies like Ubisoft and Blizzard. In 2023 he released the historical epic Dead Romans through Shadowline and Image Comics.

Jen has art directed projects that have received recognition from the Eisner Awards, The Joe Shuster Awards, The Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design and the Governor General Awards. After working in-house for over a decade, she decided to expand her collaborative endeavours and now freelances as an art director and designer. She works with publishers, writers and artists all across Canada to produce graphic novels, children’s books, non-fiction, novels and corporate publications. Jennifer is on the Professional Advisory Council for Sheridan College’s Bachelor of Illustration program and is an instructor at the Ontario College of Art and Design, where she teaches a course on making comics.
